Actress Mamie Laverock in Critical Condition After Fall

Mamie Laverock, a 19-year-old actress known for her role on the Hallmark series "When Calls the Heart," is in critical condition after falling five stories from a hospital balcony.

Laverock's co-star, Erin Krakow, wrote on her Instagram page: "Our hearts are broken. Mamie is a beautiful, talented young woman with her whole life ahead of her. We are praying for her and her family during this difficult time."

Laverock had a recurring role as nursing student Rosaleen Sullivan in "When Calls the Heart's" first two seasons and later appeared in a 2022 Christmas movie, "When Calls the Heart: A Country Christmas."

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help cover Laverock's medical expenses. As of Wednesday, more than $30,000 had been raised.

Laverock's onscreen mother, Johanna Newmarch, also shared a link to the fundraiser on her Instagram page, writing: "This is heartbreaking news. Mamie is a wonderful young woman and a talented actress. I am sending all my love and prayers to her and her family."

The circumstances surrounding Laverock's fall are still under investigation.
